In his previous talk to the Society, Christopher Moule explained that English medieval castles were much more than military fortresses and reflected the political, social and creative interests of their owners and builders. On this occasion, he will show how castles have been used and modified from the Renaissance to the present day.
Christopher Moule has been teaching history at Taunton School and is a popular leader of studies in castles, churches, chivalry and wider medieval culture. In September he is taking up his post as Head of History at Marlborough College.
