Professor Richard Vinen

Richard Vinen has taught history at King’s College London since 1991.  He was formerly a fellow of Trinity College Cambridge and, more recently, has held visiting positions at Rice University in Texas, the Institute for Advanced Study in Luca, the Institut d’Etudes Politiques in Paris and, most recently, at Churchill College Cambridge. He is the author of National Service (2014): The Long 68 (2018); Second City: a History of Birmingham (2022) and The Last Titans: Churchill and de Gaulle (2025).
